Bailto is an online property management software for landlords, available on the web, the App Store and Google Play.
The context
Many landlords still manage their rentals with spreadsheets, hand-made rent receipts and email reminders. Bailto's goal: bring properties, tenants, leases and rent together in one simple tool, for both long-term and short-term rentals.
My role
I built the product end to end:
- Analysis and design: landlords' needs, user journeys, data model and architecture.
- Web development: Next.js / TypeScript application with Supabase (database, authentication, storage).
- Mobile app: iOS and Android apps with Capacitor (biometrics, push notifications, camera, in-app purchases), which I published myself on the App Store and Google Play.
- DevOps: Docker containers, GitHub Actions CI/CD (build, VPS deployment, automated backups, security checks), monitoring with Sentry and PostHog.
- Payments and subscriptions: Stripe on the web, in-app purchases on iOS and Android.
The solution
- Property and tenant management (documents, history)
- Automatically generated leases and contracts written in a built-in editor
- Time-stamped online signature
- Real-time rent tracking and late payment alerts
- PDF rent receipts generated in 2 clicks with all legal mentions
- Short-term rentals (Airbnb, Booking style): bookings, calendar, invoicing
- Move-in and move-out inventories, room by room, with photos
- Multi-currency support
